      <image:caption>Stress Urinary incontinence (SUI) is an involuntary loss of urine that occurs when there is an increase in abdominal pressure caused by activity (from running to laughing, sneezing or coughing).  It is fairly common during pregnancy and post partum and it is not likely to go away on its own if you don't seek treatment. It is estimated that only in the Netherlands 10 to 40% of women suffer from urinary leakage. There are other kinds of urinary incontinence, such as urgency incontinence. But stress urinary incontinence is the most common type in the perinatal period. The usual cause is lack of pelvic floor muscle support when abdominal pressure suddenly increases. That lack of support can be part hormonal, part weakness and part incoordination.</image:caption>

If it is small, it will tend to reduce during the first year after pregnancy. When the diastasis is wide (two or more fingertips can fit in between your rectus sheats), rehabilitation is advised. Although a diastasis is sometimes considered more of a cosmetic than a health problem, abdominal weakness and discoordination can have serious consequences for your core stability and result in low back pain and pelvic floor dysfunction. This can result in long term back pain, thigh pain or pelvic floor dysfunction. The scar itself can be at times the only source of C-section related pain and require treatment if adhesions develop. Wanneer de diastase breed is (er kunnen twee of meer vingertoppen tussen uw rectusschede passen), wordt revalidatie geadviseerd. Does it involve an internal exam? Normally yes, but you can of course always opt out. Pelvic floor exams are necessary to know what the state of the pelvic floor is postpartum and to check for the presence of a prolapse. How much does it cost? What if I’m insured?       <image:caption>How do I register? Hypnotherapy is a type of therapy that is only offered to our pelvic physiotherapy patients. So you have to first register as a patient and schedule a regular physiotherapy intake. During the session we would discuss what your preferences are and if clinical hypnosis would be a useful treatment for your situation. Can I come for hypnotherapy only? Yes, but only if your complaints are related to a condition we would treat as clinicians (chronic pelvic pain, chronic pelvic floor tension, endometriosis, vaginismus, overactive bladder, etc.) and/or you’ve been already diagnosed by a medical professional. Otherwise an intake and examination would be the first step. Duration: Hypnotherapy is a fairly short treatment modality. You only need 1 to 3 sessions to achieve your goals. The first session is long and would take approximately 2 hours. Follow up sessions would last an average of an hour. How much does it cost? What if I’m insured? Als je wilt dat wij een telefoongesprek met je inplannen, laat het ons dan weten via een bericht. (!) Let op: de afspraak is pas definitief nadat je je hebt ingeschreven. Zodra de afspraak officieel is ingepland, ontvang je een bevestiging en herinnering per e-mail. Wat kost het? En wat als ik verzekerd ben? Informatie over vergoedingen en tarieven vind je hier. Hoe lang duurt het? De eerste afspraak duurt 45 minuten tot 1 uur. Vervolgafspraken duren 30 minuten. Kan ik mijn kinderen meenemen? Je bent welkom om je kind mee te nemen, natuurlijk. We hebben speelgoed voor kinderen vanaf 8 maanden. Houd er wel rekening mee dat je je tijdens de afspraak mogelijk moet concentreren op oefeningen, wat met een jong kind soms lastig kan zijn. Als je een ongecompliceerde bevalling hebt gehad, geen dringende klachten hebt en we al een intake hebben gedaan, kies dan voor een consult van 30 minuten. Onze ervaring is dat het vaak lastig is om een bekkenonderzoek uit te voeren met een baby die je aandacht nodig heeft. Als het mogelijk is, neem iemand mee die kan helpen. Als dat niet lukt, kan de afspraak wel doorgaan, maar het kan voor jou stressvoller zijn. De praktijk is helaas niet goed toegankelijk met een kinderwagen; je moet een aantal treden af om binnen te komen. Houdt het een inwendig onderzoek in? Meestal wel, maar je kunt hier natuurlijk altijd van afzien. Een bekkenbodemonderzoek is belangrijk om te beoordelen hoe de bekkenbodem er postpartum aan toe is en om te controleren of er sprake is van een verzakking. Wat kost het? En wat als ik verzekerd ben? Informatie over vergoedingen en tarieven vind je hier. Bieden jullie postpartum core-hersteltraining aan? Ja, maar alleen via trainers die nauw met ons samenwerken of via een online programma. We kunnen ook beoordelen of hypopressieve oefeningen goed worden uitgevoerd, maar we verwijzen je eerst naar een gespecialiseerde trainer om deze correct aan te leren.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Afspraken - Afspraken voor klinische hypnotherapie</image:title>
      <image:caption>Let op: hypnotherapie wordt in deze praktijk alleen in het Engels of Spaans aangeboden. Hoe kunt u zich inschrijven? Hypnotherapie is een behandelmethode die alleen wordt aangeboden aan onze bekkenfysiotherapiepatiënten. U dient zich dus eerst als patiënt in te schrijven en een bekkenfysiotherapie-intake in te plannen. Tijdens die sessie bespreken we uw wensen en bekijken we of klinische hypnose een geschikte behandelmethode is voor uw situatie. Kunt u alleen voor hypnotherapie komen? Ja, maar alleen als uw klachten verband houden met een aandoening die wij als zorgverleners behandelen (zoals chronische bekkenpijn, chronische bekkenbodemspanning, endometriose, vaginisme, een overactieve blaas, enz.) en/of als u al door een medisch professional bent gediagnosticeerd. In andere gevallen is een intake en onderzoek de eerste stap. Duur Hypnotherapie is een relatief kortdurende behandelvorm. Meestal zijn 1 tot 3 sessies voldoende om uw doelen te bereiken. De eerste sessie is langer en duurt ongeveer 2 uur. Vervolgafspraken duren gemiddeld 1 uur. Wat kost het? En wat als u verzekerd bent? Informatie over vergoedingen en tarieven vindt u hier.
