Which appointment should I choose? 1 hour or 30 minutes? If you’ve had an uncomplicated birth, you don’t have pressing symptoms and we’ve had an intake before, choose a 30 min consultation. If you’ve had an uncomplicated birth, you have pressing symptoms and we’ve had an intake before, choose a 30 min consultation. If you’ve had a complicated birth, you have pressing symptoms and we’ve had an intake before, let’s have a chat first so we can advise you better on which appointment to choose. If you’ve had a complicated birth, you have pressing symptoms and we haven’t had an intake before, choose a 60 minute postpartum check-up.
Can I bring my baby? Experience have taught us that it tends to be very difficult to have a pelvic exam with a little one around that demands your attention. If possible bring someone along to help. If it’s not possible the appointment can still take place, but it can get stressfull for you. The practice is unfortunately not well suited for strollers, you have to go down some steps.
Does it involve an internal exam? Normally yes, but you can of course always opt out. Pelvic floor exams are necessary to know what the state of the pelvic floor is postpartum and to check for the presence of a prolapse.

Do you offer postpartum core recovery exercises? Yes, but only through the trainers that work hand in hand with us or via an online program. We can assess as well if hypopressive exercises are well performed, but we would first send you to a specialized trainer to learn how to perform them.
Clinical hypnotherapy appointments
How do I register? Hypnotherapy is a type of therapy that is only offered to our pelvic physiotherapy patients. So you have to first register as a patient and schedule an intake. During the session we would discuss what your preferences are and if clinical hypnosis would be a useful treatment for your situation.
Can I come for hypnotherapy only? Yes, but only if your complaints are related to a condition we would treat as clinicians (chronic pelvic pain, chronic pelvic floor tension, endometriosis, vaginismus, overactive bladder, etc.) and/or you’ve been already diagnosed by a medical professional. Otherwise an intake and examination would be the first step.
Duration: Hypnotherapy is a fairly short treatment modality. You only need 1 to 3 sessions to achieve your goals. The first session is long and would take approximately 2 hours. Follow up sessions would last an average of an hour.
How much does it cost? What if I’m insured? You can find information on insurance and rates here.
How does a session unfold? You can find more information on hypnotherapy sessions here.
Can I come with someone else? Unfortunately no. It wouldn’t be possible for you to make the most of hypnosis if someone else is around.
What should I bring? Comfortable clothes and a positive mindset ;)
